Robert Groover is a graduate of Yale College and the University of Texas Law School. During his 30+ years in the patent profession, he has written more than a thousand patent applications, prosecuted a much larger number (including many interviews and appeals), and has been involved in dozens of patent litigation and licensing matters.
He has lectured and published extensively on patent law and patent management, including CLE presentations to AIPLA (the national association for Intellectual Property law practitioners), as well as presentations to business and engineering audiences.
Mr. Groover is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, and many other Federal courts. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE (the main US professional society for electrical engineers), and also a full member of of SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers). He is a longtime member of SVIPLA (Silicon Valley IP Law Association), and HIPLA (Houston).
Mr. Groover has done legal work for many Fortune 1000 companies - e.g. Fujitsu, Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, STMicroelectronics, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, E.I. duPont de Nemours, and others - as well as for many companies which are startups or have not yet gone public.
